    Brian Day

    President & Chief Executive Officer

    Brian is Apperian’s President and CEO. He brings more than 25 years of experience in leadership, operational and financial functions, with special strengths in customer, partner and investor relations, contract negotiations and general management activities.

    As he has done throughout his career, Brian is focused on driving customer success and business strategy at Apperian.  Brian joined Apperian after serving in senior leadership roles at Goal.com (acquired by Perform Media PLC), Gomez, Inc. (acquired by Compuware) and Octave Communications, Inc. among others. Brian began his career with Fleet Financial Group where he was a Vice President in the Bank’s structured finance group.

    Brian has a B.A. in Economics from the University of New Hampshire, and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in Boston. As Apperian’s chief sailor, Brian hosts company meetings on Boston Harbor and helps the company to confidently navigate its waters.

    Jeff Murphy

    Chief Sales Officer

    Jeff Murphy is responsible for leading Apperian’s global customer teams from Field Sales through Support. He brings decades of experience building and leading world-class, customer-focused teams and he doesn’t rest until our customers –both current and potential– are satisfied.

    Prior to Apperian, Jeff was Senior Vice President, Global Sales at Endeca Technologies. As a member of the leadership team, he played a key role rebuilding the sales organization and transitioning the company to a multi-business unit organization. This transition enabled impressive growth for Endeca in multiple markets and directly contributed to the company’s acquisition by Oracle its sixth largest acquisition ever at the time. Prior to Endeca, Jeff held numerous sales leadership roles at companies such as SAP, Oracle, Storage Networks and Yantra, and his involvement at those organizations directly contributed to rapid growth, record sales and noteworthy IPOs and acquisitions.

    At the University of Massachusetts Jeff majored in Business Administration. In his spare time… actually, Jeff has no spare time. As Apperian’s chief road warrior, Jeff spends every waking moment meeting with customers and partners across the globe – or on con calls from the beaches of Cape Cod, Naples, Florida, or somewhere in between.

    Mark Lorion

    Chief Marketing & Product Officer

    As CMO and Head of Product, Mark establishes and guides the company’s platform direction and go-to-market strategy to continue moving Apperian and our customers “up and to the right.” He ensures the customer’s voice is omnipresent and that every new capability, message and interaction reflects the value that we deliver to our customers and partners.

    Prior to Apperian, Mark was VP of Marketing at TIBCO Software, leading the marketing organization for the Spotfire Analytics Division following Spotfire’s acquisition by TIBCO. The Spotfire platform was widely recognized as one of the most visionary and fastest growing analytics platforms in the marketplace. He also held marketing and product leadership positions at PeerDirect and NuSphere (both acquired by Progress Software), iConverse (an early mobile app development platform), and Accenture.

    At Syracuse University Mark majored in Economics and Marketing and he earned an M.B.A. from Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. To build endurance for keeping up with market trends and his tireless young “customers” at home, Mark can be found mountain biking most mornings year-round on New England trails.

    Rob Friedman

    Senior Vice President of Engineering

    Rob leads Apperian’s software engineering.  He and his team build and innovate on our award-winning mobile application management platform.  As one of the original Apperian platform architects, Rob is relentless in his pursuit of solutions that exceed customer expectations and continually advance what is possible in enterprise mobility.

    Rob has been transforming industries through mobility for years.  Before joining Apperian, Rob led development efforts at Vlingo and NowSpeed.  He also led engineering at Groove Mobile, a pioneering provider of full-track music download services for mobile phone carriers.  Earlier in his career Rob developed software for networking, interactive voice response and speech recognition.

    Rob earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from University of Michigan and he helped author Apperian’s patent for mobile app customization. As Apperian’s culinary “architect”, Rob is constantly “developing” innovative new dry rubs and sauces to “test” on one of his five BBQ grills and smokers.

    Shawna Fisher

    Vice President of Finance

    Shawna is Apperian’s Vice President of Finance. She brings more than 20 years of financial management experience, with particular strength in SaaS accounting, cash management, and business operations.

    Shawna joined Apperian in 2010 as the company’s first financial leader and worked closely with the company’s early investors and key business partners. Prior to joining Apperian, Shawna held several financial controller positions and earlier in her career she was a senior accountant with KPMG. Shawna has a B.S. in Accounting from Bentley University and is a Certified Public Account and Notary Public. An avid athlete, Shawna keeps Apperian “running” strong and “building muscle” as we set pace in the industry for mobile app management.

    Caleb Mills

    Vice President of Operations

    Caleb, Apperian’s Vice President of Operations, is responsible for Apperian’s highly available and responsive cloud service, as well as the continued success of our customers in their use of the platform. He delivers on our customer promise by leveraging more than a decade of enterprise software-as-a-service operations and development expertise.

    Caleb joined Apperian in 2011 to lead systems administration and to scale up our SaaS operations and support organizations.  Prior to joining Apperian in 2011, Caleb held a variety of positions with Nuance Communications, including managing speech recognition and database operations, systems administration, and software development.  Earlier in his career Caleb performed software development and systems administration at several academic and government institutions.

    Caleb has a B.S. in Physics from the University of Massachusetts and he also completed graduate research work at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  When he’s is not “cooking up” ways to better support Apperian customers, Caleb can be found “developing” and “testing” new recipes in his home kitchen.
