Systems Engineer
Apperian is looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer to support and evolve its growing infrastructure, including Apperian’s production environment, QA/Dev environments, and office network.
Position responsibilities will include:
- Day-to-day operation and maintenance of Apperian’s various hosted software products, including EASE.
- Designing, configuring and operating application monitoring systems (e.g. Cloudkick, NewRelic, Nagios) to improve situational awareness and responsiveness to detected error conditions.
- Designing, building and managing virtual machine templates to improve and standardize deployment of systems into Apperian’s various hosted environments.
- Working with product development teams to create custom monitoring and reporting scripts.
- Selecting, building, deploying, and operating software distribution mechanisms to standardize the software update process.
- Contributing the architecture and build-out of the production environment to address scale and fail-over requirements.
- Implementing robust backup and DR processes to protect production databases and fileserver content.
- On-call participation.
Qualifications:

Manager, Demand Management

The Manager, Demand Management will be the force behind our Database and Lead Nurturing strategy and execution. You will influence demand creation, content development and marketing operations. You will be responsible for the sales funnel.

Objectives:
The Manager, Demand Management will define and implement strategy for effectively marketing to prospects based on the analysis and real-time understanding of our prospect community. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and utilizing analytical applications across a designated system (Marketo) to facilitate marketing activities, such as lead nurturing campaigns, and ensure that defined prospects receive appropriate, accurate, and timely content.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Applying a thorough understanding of all aspects of the Marketo solution, leads the global implementation and ongoing infrastructure maintenance and expansion of the Marketo solution, interfaces with Sales Operations to ensure entire lead flow through all systems (Marketo, Ringlead, Salesforce.com) is functional and is monitored and optimized.
- Works cross-departmentally (Customer marketing, Campaign Management, Product Marketing, Client Services) to ensure all appropriate users can leverage the Marketo system to maximum advantage by providing training, improving system performance, monitoring integrations, working with vendors and troubleshooting problems.
- Refines and Implement plan to appropriately score all global corporate leads for delivery to the sales team and works with sales team on best practices to leverage lead scoring. Activities will include project plan management, definition and monitoring of relevant metrics and analysis and improvement of lead scoring model efficacy.
- Continually improves lead nurturing programs to improve conversion rates; develops some and implements all processes for lead and pipeline cultivation and maturation with a primary focus on the activities required to increase conversion rates from lead to close, including email templates and gathering of content provided to prospects during a lead-nurturing cycle.
- Closely analyzes all lead-nurturing campaign results to increase creativity and improve flow of communications for targeted sets of prospects; proactively reports results to all stakeholders.
- Participates in the prioritization for data integrity/management initiatives.
- Acts as primary point of contact with Sales management regarding lead generation systems and associated activities (e.g., lead flow, lead scoring, lead qualification) so that needs of internal customers in the Sales organization are met.
- Prepares and disseminates Marketo and SalesForce reporting/metrics to stakeholders; keeps team proactively informed on Marketo and SalesForce statistics, metrics and progress to date; works closely with Marketo contacts (Acct Manager, tech support) to resolve technical challenges and learn best practices.
- Manages the Marketo database, ensuring data integrity for >90% of the prospect records housed in Marketo.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Editorial and Online Content Manager will be defining and overseeing the content agenda and strategy for Apperian. You will establish and manage all web content development and publishing. So are you for up it? Then read on.
Objectives:
The Manager, Editorial and Content Management, will define and implement the online content strategy. This position will create and oversee the rules and guidelines for web content via the website, social media platforms, webinars and any other online publishing mediums.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Applying a thorough understanding of all aspects of editorial and content development and lead the global web content strategy.
- Create content standards such as voice, tone, frequency, relevance, etc. Decide on the appropriate mediums for content publication. Curate content so it is appropriate for each online channel. Oversee blog production, editorial, press releases, video blogs, white papers, case studies and sales collateral development.
- Works cross-departmentally with Contractors, Sales, Web Development, Product Marketing and PR to ensure consistent content creation, curation, frequency and distribution.
