Customer Solutions Architect

Description

Apperian seeks a Customer Solutions Architect, a hands-on customer facing position that is responsible for leading our solutions team in a language/framework/technology agnostic hands-on architect role.  This is an opportunity to work with many of the top brands in the world on their cutting-edge enterprise mobility projects.  Help Apperian customers to leverage the latest mobile device and software innovations to build game-changing mobile apps and enterprise app stores that will fundamentally transform their businesses.

This is a role for an enthusiastic and driven architect who craves challenges at every turn.  The thirst for learning something new and stay on top of the latest mobile technologies is a must.  You will also be meeting regularly with customers and managing teams of developers across a variety of on-going projects.

Ability to travel and meet with customers 10-15% required.

Required Skills and Experience:

    • “White Glove” Customer Engagement
    • Develop architectural artifacts during the analysis, design and development phases
    • Engage in executive and senior-level technology discussions
    • Apply strong requirements and data analysis skills to design data models (object, relational, non-relational)
    • Partner with product managers to clarify customer requirements, produce design and implementation of user stories
    • Ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and parties
    • Research, evaluate and integrate any appropriate technology (platforms, components, hardware, services) required
    • GIT repo management
    • Jira or equivalent Agile management software
    • Mac OS X and Microsoft Office
    • MySQL 5.5 or equivalent relational DB
    • HTML5/CSS3/Javascript (with modern frameworks, especially Angular)
    • Expert in Objective C native iOS development
    • At least 3 other programming languages (ie. C, C++, Java, C#, VB.NET, PHP, PERL, Python, Ruby, Scala)
    • Full stack web development
    • Design, implementation, testing and debugging of backend REST APIs
    • Basic UI/UX design and whiteboard-level wireframing

Desired Skills:

Senior Director of Customer Success

Description

The Director of Customer Success will be responsible for building and leading a new Customer Success function at Apperian.  This will entail designing and running processes that identify and create new adoption and success opportunities that delight Apperian customers and ensure the best possible customer experience.  It is your responsibility to effectively onboard new accounts onto the Apperian hosted/SaaS platform, help to drive effective usage in the early stages and ongoing, and build high customer satisfaction.

Creative, energetic and self-driven, you understand the customer and their use cases and know how to be a trusted partner so companies stay and grow with Apperian. You also love understanding our product in depth and then communicating its capabilities and benefits to the users.

Responsibilities

    • Manage all post-sales activity for Apperian’s customers through strong relationship-building, product knowledge, planning and execution; includes getting involved with late-stage pre-sales engagements for strategic enterprise accounts
    • Define best-practices for onboarding new customers and ensuring their long-term success and adoption
    • Build and scale team as needs and demand dictate
    • Maintain a deep understanding of the product and speak with customers about the most relevant features/functionality for their specific business needs
    • Track accounts to identify churn risk and work proactively to eliminate that risk
    • Work closely with Product and Engineering on identification and tracking of enhancement requests and bugs
    • Function as the Voice of the Customer and provide internal feedback on how Apperian can better serve our business and enterprise customers

Required Skills and Experience:

    • 5 to 10 years in customer success or customer support along with previous management experience.
    • A self-starter with a track record of successful, credible customer follow-up and engagement at multiple executive levels within an organization
    • Familiarity with software-as-a-Service platforms
    • Self-motivated team player who has fresh ideas for driving user adoption and mitigating churn
    • Strong telephone, email and in-person communication skills and technical aptitude
    • Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations
    • 4-year college degree required

Senior Software QA Engineer

Want to work for Boston’s hottest mobile startup? We need an experienced QA engineer to work on EASE, the leading Enterprise Mobile App Management platform. Our customers use EASE to distribute and manage their private mobile apps to their employees. Position responsibilities will include:

Work on all aspects of verification for mobile environments, including client and server mobile software, web services, and data access software. Work with a team to create and optimize test frameworks and plans creating innovative solutions in a very fast, dynamic, and fun environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

      • BS in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
      • 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
      • 1+ year(s) testing mobile apps, preferably on Android or iOS.
      • Proven ability to create and execute test cases and test plans.
      • Solid understanding of development and test process.
      • Knowledge of SQL.
      • Proven ability to work interactively and cooperatively with development and support teams.
      • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) products.
      • Excellent oral and written communication and troubleshooting skills.

Useful skills and experience:

      • Experience in testing highly scalable applications.
      • Experience working in Agile environment.
      • Experience with RHEL or other Linux distribution.
