Enterprise Sales Executive

Sales position for the Northeast/Eastern region focusing on enterprise accounts, key SI’s, and local strategic partners to drive new business.

Requirements:

      • 5-10 years of Enterprise Sales Experience – selling to and supporting senior IT and senior line of business executives
      • Experienced at enterprise account mapping, planning and sales strategy, prospecting, and building a solid pipeline of qualified opportunities.
      • Contacts within the SI and Mobility Managed Service (MMS) community and experience supporting partner-led deals is a plus
      • Understanding of the mobility industry and experience selling SaaS and PaaS is a plus
      • Working knowledge, contacts, and experience with accounts inside the Northeast, Eastern region
      • Experienced at vetting potential prospects and opportunities
      • Experience with Salesforce.com

Senior Software QA Engineer

Want to work for Boston’s hottest mobile startup? We need an experienced QA engineer to work on EASE, the leading Enterprise Mobile App Management platform. Our customers use EASE to distribute and manage their private mobile apps to their employees. Join our team testing cutting-edge mobile products, and enjoy working in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Position responsibilities will include:

Work on all aspects of verification for mobile environments, including client and server mobile software, web services, and data access software. Work with a team to create and optimize test frameworks and plans creating innovative solutions in a very fast, dynamic, and fun environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

      • BS in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
      • 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
      • 1+ year(s) testing mobile apps, preferably on Android or iOS.
      • Proven ability to create and execute test cases and test plans.
      • Solid understanding of development and test process.
      • Knowledge of SQL.
      • Proven ability to work interactively and cooperatively with development and support teams.
      • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) products.
      • Excellent oral and written communication and troubleshooting skills.

Useful skills and experience:

      • Experience in testing highly scalable applications.
      • Experience working in Agile environment.
      • Experience with RHEL or other Linux distribution.
      • Experience with Bash scripting.
      • Familiarity with automated test frameworks such as XLT, Selenium and JMeter.

Dev Ops Intern

Apperian is looking for a DevOps Intern to immediately join our Operations Team and help us maintain a stable, well performing, and secure environment. Apperian’s Operations team is a tightly knit group with deep skills in Linux, web programming, databases, networking, virtualization and security. We work closely with the rest of the Engineering Organization to deliver a quality, reliable, secure and highly scalable service to our customers.

As a DevOps Intern, you will write automation scripts, assist in code deployments, build and maintain Puppet manifests and provide general Operations and IT support to the rest of the organization. There are rarely typical days on the Ops Team, but some common tasks may include:

      • Writing a custom script to automate a manual task/li>
      • Building new systems to support customer growth.
      • Updating Puppet Manifests to implement new system configurations.
      • Scripting new monitoring checks and adding them to Nagios.
      • Diagnosing platform issues by parsing application logs and using common diagnostic utilities./li>
      • Deploying updated code into QA and Production.
      • Assisting fellow co-workers with Operational or IT issues.

Qualified candidates must:

      • Be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program and majoring in a related field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
      • Have experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PHP.
      • Have attention to detail.
      • Have strong diagnostic and problem solving skills.
      • Have strong communications skills.
      • Have the ability be self-motivated and to accomplish tasks with minimal guidance.

In addition to the skills and experience above, any of the following will be useful in this role:

      • Experience with Linux.
      • Experience with configuration systems such as Puppet or Chef.
      • Experience implementing and managing open source monitoring tools.
      • Experience with open source databases (e.g. Postgres, MySQL).

QA Intern

Apperian is looking for a QA intern to immediately join our team and help us maintain the quality and reliability of our products. Apperian’s QA team is a tightly knit group with deep skills. We work closely with the rest of the Engineering Organization to deliver a quality, reliable, secure and highly scalable service to our customers.

As a QA intern, you will execute test cases, test different features in the QA environments.

      • Participate as a member of agile scrum team.
      • Create, modify, and execute test cases for all product features and stories.
      • Work closely with developers on triage of bugs, verification of fixes.
      • Work to improve the overall product quality.
      • As well as other tasks may be assigned.

Qualified candidates must:
